چکیده
Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) is one of the main causes grapevine degeneration disease (GFDD) and present in almost all areas where cultivated. In this work, we ascertained presence spread GFLV different commercial vineyards four Sicilian provinces (Italy), its genetic structure molecular variability were studied. detail, a total 617 samples 11 autochthonous cultivars collected 20 vineyards. Preliminary screening by serological (DAS-ELISA) (RT-PCR) analyses for ArMV (arabis mosaic virus) detection conducted. Results obtained showed absence analyzed, while 48 out gave positive results to GFLV, 9 analyzed. Phylogenetic carried on GFLV-CP gene 18 sequences selected study certain degree among isolates, suggesting origin, probably as consequence continuous interchange GFLV-infected propagating material with other Italian regions or viticultural located countries.

The full-length coat protein gene of Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) isolates from Iran was characterized byreverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RTPCR) and sequencing. The expected 1515 bp coatprotein (CP) gene amplicon was obtained for 16 isolates out of 89 that were identified by double antibodysandwich enzyme-linked immunesorbent assay (DASELISA) in a population ...
متن کاملThe Occurrence of Grapevine Fanleaf Virus in Washington State Vineyards
Grapevine degeneration in grapevines caused by Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) has been documented in many viticultural regions worldwide (Andret-Link et al. 2004). It is one of the major economically important virus diseases affecting the longevity of grapevines and reducing the fruit yield and fruit quality. Infected grapevines show a range of foliar symptoms consisting of leaf deformation, ye...
متن کاملNanobody‐mediated resistance to Grapevine fanleaf virus in plants
Since their discovery, single-domain antigen-binding fragments of camelid-derived heavy-chain-only antibodies, also known as nanobodies (Nbs), have proven to be of outstanding interest as therapeutics against human diseases and pathogens including viruses, but their use against phytopathogens remains limited. Many plant viruses including Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV), a nematode-transmitted ic...
متن کاملPopulation structure and genetic variability within isolates of Grapevine fanleaf virus from a naturally infected vineyard in France: evidence for mixed infection and recombination.
The nematode-borne Grapevine fanleaf virus, from the genus Nepovirus in the family Comoviridae, causes severe degeneration of grapevines in most vineyards worldwide. We characterized 347 isolates from transgenic and conventional grapevines from two vineyard sites in the Champagne region of France for their molecular variant composition. The population structure and genetic diversity were examin...
متن کاملQuasispecies nature of the genome of Grapevine fanleaf virus.
Genetic diversity was characterized in 14 isolates of Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) recovered from grapevine (Vitis vinifera). Virions were collected by immunocapture, and a 1557 bp fragment containing part of the viral coat protein gene and part of the untranslated region to its 3' side was amplified by RT-PCR. Sequence variation among isolates was characterized by restriction fragment length...
